1. What inspired you to be an Entrepreneur?
Family history and freedom to choose my own direction in life.
2. How many years have you been doing Freestyle Pools & Spas business? What makes your business unique and successful?
15 years. Hard work, attention to details and determination to exceed customer expectations.
3. What is the average pool cost retail in your business? What is the most important element to maintain and grow business in the competitive industry?
$50k, complete customer satisfaction.
4. Do you have an exit strategy for the business? And how do you prepare for the process?
Yes, plan to sell in 2-3 years. Continue with the same principles.
5. I understand you want to move to Western NC and open a Restaurant. Tell us a little about what your plans are for the new venture.
Still in “dream” phase. I am focusing on completing a few existing projects, new office, building a new cabin.
6. What challenges have you faced being an entrepreneur and how did you overcome that?
Recession, downsize. Work harder.
7. What advise do you have for a new start-up Entrepreneur?
Be ready for working long hours, frustration, hard times and always stay focused.
