For my interview, I spoke with Lisbeth Hencke, who is the Advertising Sales Manager for Lionheart Publications magazine.
Now this may seem a bit strange – why am I interviewing someone involved with print advertising instead of social media? Well, based on our readings, we have been getting a good picture of where the social media space is going. And we can see that the ‘big guys’ (large multinational companies) and the new entrants to the market that don’t have any bad habits are embracing social media. But what of the companies stuck in between?
Lisbeth and I spoke of a specific example where the company she works for, Lionheart Publishing, publishes a magazine on behalf of an international organization. Lionheart is responsible for sales, and the organization is responsible for gathering more members. It would seem that both parties would be very interested in increasing their reach online, as it would directly impact their revenues and also their profits.
