A veteran of entrepreneurial consulting, business planning, and urban planning, Walter O. Farabee, Minority & Women’s Business Enterprise Coordinator for the City of Winston-Salem spoke with us regarding start-up funding and business planning for entrepreneurs. An alumni of UNC-Chapel Hill, Mr. Farabee spoke on a range of topics germane to start-up funding from group marketing, social networks, and the “Great Recession”.
Mr. Farabee extolled the need for strategic business planning by aspiring entrepreneurs as well as the need for unbiased and critical analyses of whether a business idea is feasible with the potential to be operationalized. Supportive of small business development, he advises those wanting to go into business to find out about the resources available to them and use them.
